EMERGENCY crews were called to battle a blaze in a patient bathroom after the alarm was raised at Hereford's Stonebow Unit.
Police, firefighters and paramedics were all in attendance with a cordon in place at Stonebow Road, near Hereford County Hospital last night.
A fire service spokesperson said three Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews from Hereford Fire Station were called to the Stonebow Unit in Stonebow Road, Hereford at 5.43pm on February 15.

"They were responding to an automatic fire alarm and a fire was located in a toilet area in a vulnerable persons’ facility," the spokesperson said.
"The fire was extinguished using CO2 with two firefighters using breathing apparatus. There was heavy smoke-logging with natural ventilation used to clear. Police and ambulance also attended but there were no casualties."
Stonebow Road was later reopened after the fire had been put out.
