A CANNABIS user was several times over the drug-drive limit when he was caught in a busy Hereford street, a court has heard.
Alan Johnson admitted drug-driving when he appeared before magistrates in Kidderminster on February 2.
The court heard the 65-year-old had been driving a green Volvo S40 when he was stopped in Commercial Road, Hereford, on June 29.
An evidential test revealed he had 17.5 microgrammes of cannabis metabolite delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol per litre of blood. The legal limit is two.
Johnson, of John Tarrant Close, Hereford, was disqualified from driving for 24 months and fined £120. He must also pay costs of £135 and a £34 victim surcharge.
