STAFF at a rural chip shop have been told to self-isolate resulting in its closure.
Madley Takeaway will be closed from today for a week after staff were contacted by NHS Track and Trace told to self-isolate.
The chip shop hopes to re-open next Friday (February 26).
"We are really sorry to have to inform you all but we are going to have to close for the rest of this week (today and tomorrow) and next Thursday due to being informed by Track and Trace this morning that we have got to self isolate for seven days due to being in contact with someone who has a positive Covid-19 diagnosis.
"If any of you know anyone who uses the chip shop and doesn't have Facebook please could you let them know what is happening on our behalf.
"Hopefully, we'll see you all next Friday, stay safe everyone."
