A DISQUALIFIED driver has been handed a suspended sentence after driving just 12 days after he was banned.
James Peter Chandler entered a guilty plea when he appeared before magistrates in Hereford.
The court heard disqualified driver Chandler had been caught driving a Volkswagen Passat on the A49 at Harewood End on September 21.
He was also driving without insurance when he was stopped.
Magistrates said the offence was serious as the 38-year-old was deliberately driving within 12 days of having been banned from the roads.
Chandler, of Battisto Walk, Malvern, was handed a six-week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months, and disqualified from driving for four years. He must also pay costs of £135 and a £128 victim surcharge.
