NEW figures have revealed how many people have been given their first dose of the coronavirus vaccine in each part of Herefordshire.
The NHS England data shows how many people have had at least one Covid-19 vaccine dose in each of Herefordshire's 23 middle super output areas.
In 20 out of 23 areas of Herefordshire, almost all of the over-65 population has been vaccinated with at least one dose as of February 28.
For the best level of immunity, two doses are needed. The second is given around 12 weeks after the first.
Analysis of the figures show 100 per cent of the estimated over-65 population have been jabbed in the following areas:
- Wigmore, Orleton & Brimfield
- Leominster South
- Shobdon, Luston & Bodenham
- Bromyard & Bishop's Frome
- Kington, Eardisley & Staunton
- Credenhill, Weobley & Wellington
- Lugwardine, Withington & Moreton on Lugg
- Colwall, Cradley & Wellington Heath
- Hereford North West
- Hereford North East
- Hereford Central
- Hereford West
- Hereford East
- Hereford South
- Belmont, Madley & Clehonger
- Hereford South West
- Fownhope, Tarrington & Marcle
- Ledbury
- Kingstone & Kingsthorne
- Ross-on-Wye
There are only three areas of the county where less than 90 per cent of the estimated population has been vaccinated.
An estimated 85 per cent of over-65s have been vaccinated in Leominster North and the Golden Valley, with 83 per cent jabbed in Penyard, Llangarron and Goodrich.
In Herefordshire as a whole, 45,227 people aged 65 and over have been vaccinated, which is 95 per cent of the estimated population.
A total of 71,195 people have had at least one jab.
Using the table you can see which how many people have been vaccinated in each area of the county.
By clicking on the column headers, you can also sort by population size and the number of people vaccinated.
Middle super output areas, which each have a population of around 8,000 people, according to the Office for National Statistics.
These areas are used in the reporting of small area statistics.
The Office for National Statistics provides the population estimates for these 23 areas as of mid-2019, so they are not completely accurate when identifying areas where all over-65s have been vaccinated.
Vaccines in Herefordshire are given in the order of the Government's priority list, with most at five centres run by GP surgeries. There is also a mass site at Elgar House in Holmer Road, Hereford.
This week a second mass site at the Three Counties Showground in Malvern also opened.
