It appears that every week for as many years as I can remember we have been debating the merits of a Hereford bypass, and still the debate goes on.
Councillors and political parties flip flop one way and the other with no action just more debate.
I think Herefordshire as a county should hold a referendum on the issue, so that we can arrive at a definitive answer, or we will still be debating this in another 50 years’ time.
Failing this I would suggest at the time of the next council elections that all candidates declare their position on the bypass issue so that we can select the candidate that subscribes to the view we wish to support. Let the people of Herefordshire decide.
