  • A lovely man. I miss seeing him & his wife on their daily walks and chatting. Sorry they have both gone.
  • Very sad, he visited his wife at the nursing home every day, come rain or shine bless him
  • Mr Zarins was great, and so interesting to chat with. I miss not seeing him on the high street. Another lovely character departed.
  • Wonderful man with an interesting past he was a friend of my fathers and we shared certain interests, very sad that he has gone.
  • Sorry to hear the sad news of Mr Letts as I knew him. Totally devoted to his wife. They both loved walking. Would often see them in the town and they always stopped and talked. RIP Mr Letts. Xxx
  • Lovely man. I popped into the shop about 1985 for a chat with him. He introduced me to a friend of his from London who was up visiting him, it was none other than Lord Alan Sugar. Didn't realise who he was until some time later. He also was good friends with the now late Patricia Hayes who I also met in his shop.
