A MAN has been handed a conditional discharge after abusing a person in Hereford.
Jack Brooker entered a guilty plea when he appeared before magistrates in Hereford on March 17.
The court heard the 21-year-old had used threatening and abusive words or behaviour towards another person with intent to cause harassment, alarm, or distress in Hereford on September 12, 2020.
Magistrates said the offence was aggravated due to hostility based on the victim's sexual orientation.
Brooker, of Clos Bury Capel, Abergavenny, was discharged conditionally for nine months and must pay costs of £135 and a £22 victim surcharge.
