FIREFIGHTERS say they don't know what caused a fire on the Black Mountains over the bank holiday weekend.
Fire crews from Ewyas Harold and Ross-on-Wye were sent to tackle the blaze near Longtown on Monday (April 5).
Bracken was "well-alight" on the Black Mountains, Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said, with the first call made at 1.22pm.
The crew from Ewyas Harold said beaters, water backpacks and off-road vehicles were used.
"Thankfully the wind direction helped keep the fire away from neighbouring properties. No persons were injured and the cause is unknown."
