ASDA wants to make changes to its supermarket in Hereford, including a new click and collect point for customers ordering their shopping online.
The supermarket chain has asked Herefordshire Council if it can install the new canopy in the car park of the store, off Belmont Road.
It also wants to add a new loading bay at the rear of the shop for its home delivery vans.
A design and access statement submitted with the planning application to the council said the firm wants an extension to the existing home shopping facility.
