A MERCEDES driver crashed her brand new car while drink-driving in Hereford, a court has heard.
Sarah Olivia Shaw admitted drink-driving when she appeared before magistrates in Hereford.
The 34-year-old had been spotted driving her 70 plate Mercedes in an erratic manner on Belmont Avenue in Hereford before crashing into parked cars at 6pm on April 4, prosecutor Shafquat Reaz said.
Shaw was arrested after failing a roadside breath test and an evidential breath test in custody revealed she had 58 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35.

Marilena Di Vitantonio, for Shaw, said she accepted she had a drink at home before getting behind the wheel and knew she would be disqualified for the offence.
"She knows it was a stupid mistake and it will affect her work, which involves travelling to different offices," Miss Di Vitantonio said.
"The car belonged to a lease company and she will now have to pay the full amount of that as her insurance was not valid due to her intoxication."
Shaw, of Drayton Manor Drive, Stratford-upon-Avon, was disqualified from driving for 16 months and fined £500. She must also pay costs of £135 and a £50 victim surcharge.
