Herefordshire crews are amongst those are currently battling a "large grass fire" near Kington.
Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said the fire is on Hergest Ridge, near Burlingjobb, just across the border in Wales.
Herefordshire crews have joined those from Kingsland, Presteigne, Knighton, Hay-on-Wye and Llandrindod Wells in battling the blaze.

Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said it was first called at 11.52am about the grassland fire on Hergest Ridge, near Kington.
"Crews from Kington, Eardisley, Hereford and Kingsland are in attendance, along with Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service crews from Presteigne and Knighton," a spokesperson said at 4.30pm.
"Support is also being given by the water carriers from Peterchurch and Hay-on-Wye (MWWFRS) and HWFRS drones from Ledbury and Wyre Forest.
"Indications are that an area of around four hectares of grassland and a large tree are on fire."
Kingsland fire station said: "Called out to a wild fire in the Kington area today.
"The fire was getting close to properties so we were brought in to standby. Thankfully, we weren't needed."
