THE opening date for Hereford's swimming pool has been announced after more than a year of closure.
Hereford Leisure Pool was forced to close 15 months ago in February 2020, when flooding caused major damage at the centre in St Martin's Avenue.
Since then, it has remained closed through the coronavirus pandemic.
The work at the site has included an electrical upgrade, fire alarm replacement, lighting and work to the plant room, lightning protection, anti-climb measures for the roof, roof mounted pipework and concrete repairs.
But Halo has now confirmed that it will be reopening its doors to eager swimmers at 6am on May 19.
Halo said swim and gym sessions will be bookable online and on the Halo APP from May 12 at 7am.
All activities must be pre booked before you arrive at the centre.
The group exercise programme will re-start week commencing May 24, exact date to be announced.
Swimming lessons will start on week beginning May 24 - updates to follow.
The spa and health suite will remain closed, updates to follow.
