A WOMAN has been killed in a crash near Bromyard, police have confirmed.
Officers were called at 3.53pm on Sunday, May 2, to reports that a red Honda moped and a black Land Rover Defender had crashed on the B4203 between Bromyard and Upper Sapey, Herefordshire.
Sadly, the moped rider, a woman in her 60s, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her next of kin have been informed.
Road closures were in place while emergency services were in attendance.
West Mercia Police Inspector Darren Godsall said: "Our thoughts remain with the lady's family at this difficult time.
"While investigations are ongoing, we are appealing for any witnesses who may have been in the area at the time of the incident and may have dash-cam footage to please come forward.”
