A DRIVER has been banned from the roads after he was caught behind the wheel while over the drug limit.
Mark Geoffrey Taylor admitted drug-driving when he appeared before magistrates in Hereford.
Police had been on patrol in the Bargates area of Leominster when they spotted Taylor driving with worn tyres and a rear number plate light out at around 7.40pm on November 29, prosecutor Ralph Robyns Landricombe said.
They turned their blue lights on as Taylor turned into Westfield Walk, pulling him over.
A rear tyre on the 41-year-old's Ford was found to be bald, and he was arrested after failing a roadside drug test.
An evidential sample taken in custody showed he had 6.5 microgrammes of cannabis metabolite delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol per litre of blood. The legal limit is two.
Speaking on his own behalf, Taylor, who was previously disqualified for drug-driving in 2017, said there was not a lot he could say about the offence or his drug use.
Taylor, of Portna Way, Leominster, was disqualified from driving for three years and fined £120. He must also pay costs of £135 and a £34 victim surcharge.
