A COMMUNITY club that supports people with dementia has been the victim of vandalism.
Five plant pots were smashed, and broken bottles and cans strewn across the road at the Leominster Meeting Centre.
The vandalism happened during the night of Friday, May 14, it is believed.
Joy Valentini, manager of the meeting centre, said: “It’s been distressing for our members and staff.
"They were five really nice plants that our members helped to plant. Somebody found them all smashed up on Saturday.
“It’s such a shame that something like this should happen. It’s sad that people have nothing better to do.”
The incident has been reported to West Mercia Police, who have since visited the centre and advised them about CCTV.
Fortunately, the story has a happy ending. The Leominster branch of DIY giant B&Q has offered the centre new plant pots to replace those damaged by the vandals.
Ms Valentini said: “They and others have been very kind.”
