Herefordshire & Ludlow College offers a wide selection of full-time, part-time, and higher education courses, as well as apprenticeships, specialist programmes for businesses and short recreational or legislative courses.
At the Holme Lacy Campus, only six miles from Hereford, an attractive range of courses are provided at the specialist land-based campus and commercially managed 257-hectare country estate, which includes an arable, beef and sheep farm; woodlands; orchards and lakes. The Holme Lacy Campus is home to an Animal Care Unit, Equestrian Centre and a Rural Crafts Centre; where the likes of blacksmithing, farriery and welding courses take place.
The superb Hereford Campus is one of the best further education campuses in the UK, offering outstanding learning facilities. It includes specialist workshops, training salons, professional kitchens, and an extensive Learning Resource Centre. The campus offers an outstanding learning environment, designed to give our students the practical skills, knowledge, and experience for successful progression to their chosen career or university.
As well as our two campuses in Herefordshire, we also have Ludlow College. Ludlow College, just 20 minutes from Hereford by train, provides an excellent choice of A Levels for school leavers. Students enjoy being part of an academically rigorous and friendly Sixth Form College where they learn in small groups and benefit from high levels of personal support. Many progress to Russell Group and other highly ranked universities. Ludlow College offers excellent modern learning facilities provided in superb buildings, which date from the middle ages to the 21st century.
The Hereford University Centre is also based at the Hereford Campus, and is run in partnership with the University of Worcester. The Centre acts as an educational and cultural hub, aiming to raise educational aspirations in Herefordshire and encourage increased participation in higher education. This facilitates a range of talks, lectures and activities aimed at involving the community at the College. Though these will all be on varied subjects, they will offer you the opportunity to get a feel of what university lectures might be like and how you can be inspired by the expansion of ideas and theories. It has attracted hundreds of visitors to lectures on a wide range of subjects from Genetic Engineering to Dementia Research.
