A MAN has been sent back to prison after committing another offence on the day he was released.
Martin Glover entered a guilty plea when he appeared before magistrates in Kidderminster.
The court Glover had made a grossly offensive and indecent phone call intended to cause distress to West Mercia Police on May 26.
Magistrates said the offence was serious as it was committed on the day of Glover's release from HMP Hewell and while he was subject to a deferred sentence.
The 60-year-old was also sentenced for two other offences, assaulting a police officer and being drunk and disorderly at Hereford station on March 1, which he pleaded guilty to on March 17.
Glover, of Church Street, Ledbury, was jailed for a total of eight weeks.
