Hampton Grange and Gwen Walford Nursing Homes have partnered with their local Morrisons to become a food bank drop off point.
The supermarket has provided the homes with a trolley allowing staff and visitors to the homes the opportunity to donate their non-perishable goods.
The homes are also volunteering with the local food bank to drive and pick up food donations from other local supermarkets.
This provides a great opportunity for the food donated to the care homes to be delivered at the same time.
Manager of the homes, Dan Bridges, said: “We are so happy to be giving back to the community by pooling our resources together with Morrisons and Hereford Food Bank.
"We’re always looking for opportunities for ways we can support the people around us.
"We find it is fulfilling for the residents of our homes to be part of providing for other people in need too.”
