A SERIOUSLY injured woman has had to be rescued by fire crews after falling down an embankment in rural Herefordshire.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to Dark Lane in Ewyas Harold, on Herefordshire's border with Wales, to reports of the incident.
One ambulance was sent to the scene after the call came in at 12.13pm on Thursday (May 27).
"Due to the location of the patients, we requested the assistance of fire service colleagues to extricate the patient," they said.
"The woman had suffered a serious injury, was given treatment on scene before being conveyed to Hereford County Hospital for further care."
The Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crew from Ewyas Harold attended the scene to help paramedics rescue the woman.
