A PARENT towed their teenage son up to 2,000 feet before watching them glide solo onto a Hereford airfield.
Charlie Wilson, aged 14, became one of the youngest pilots to solo in a glider from 2, 000 feet with the Herefordshire Gliding Club at Shobdon Airfield.
His father Shaun Wilson aero towed him to 2,000 feet before his son released to return for his first solo landing at the airfield.
"It was a massive achievement from the instructors and support team," said Shaun.
