A FISH and chip shop in Herefordshire has been named a winner for the second year in a row in this year's Good Food Awards.
The Fiddler's Elbow in Leintwardine took the prestigious award in the fish and chip shop category for demonstrating exceptional levels of food quality, service and value compared to industry benchmarks, a Good Food Awards spokesperson said.
It is not the first award for the popular chippy in Rosemary Lane, which was also named among the top 50 in the country by trade publication Fry Magazine in 2019 and 2020, an honour it again retained this year.
Run by Dominic Eusden and Linzi Morris, the chippy offers a range of traditional fare alongside catering for dietary intolerances and allergies by taking measures such as using gluten-free batter.
They are also keen to mitigate their impact on the environment, with all of their takeaway boxes, sauce pots, salad containers, forks and cutlery sets being made of compostable, plastic-free materials.
