A FORMATION of Puma helicopters flew over Herefordshire yesterday in celebration of 50 years of service.
And many Herefordians were out and about with their camera to capture the anniversary flypast.
Here, we have put together a selection of the best pictures from our readers.
Starting at RAF Benson in Oxfordshire, the flypast to mark 50 years of service in the Royal Air Force travelled north along the east of England before turning at RAF Scampton and returning via Shobdon in Herefordshire.
Plenty of our readers were ready to capture the sight as the helicopters arrived over Shobdon from RAF Shawbury at 2.45pm on July 7.
The formation then headed across Herefordshire and towards Salisbury Plain.
The RAF said the Puma, a medium-lift support helicopter, has flown on combat and humanitarian operations around the world over the last five decades, including Northern Ireland, Bosnia, Kosovo, Iraq, Afghanistan, Mozambique and the Caribbean.
The helicopters have also supported flood relief efforts and the coronavirus pandemic response in Britain.
