A MAN has been handed a suspended sentence after making and possessing indecent images of children.
Simon Boon entered a guilty plea when he appeared before magistrates in Hereford on July 15.
The court heard the 41-year-old had made four category C indecent photographs or pseudo-photographs of children between August 11 and 13 last year.
Boon also admitted possessing a category C indecent image of a child on a mobile phone between the same dates.
Magistrates said the offences were serious as sexual images of children cause great distress and encourage sexual offences against children.
Boon, of Broad Street, Leominster, was handed a six-month prison sentence, suspended for 12 months.
He must also sign the sex offenders register for seven years.
