A WOMAN has been handed a suspended sentence after she was caught behind the wheel while more than four times the drink-drive limit in Hereford.
Marta Olszewska admitted drink-driving when she appeared before magistrates in Hereford.
The court heard the 56-year-old had been caught behind the wheel of a Peugeot 207 in Hereford's Eign Road on June 23.
An evidential breath test revealed she had 156 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35.
Magistrates said the offence was serious as it was an extremely high reading and that Olszewska presented a grave danger to members of the public.
Olszewska, of Birch Grove, Hereford, received a 16-week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months, disqualified from driving for four years, and must complete a six-month alcohol treatment programme.
She was also fined £300 and must pay costs of £135 and a £128 victim surcharge.
