FOUR roads in Herefordshire are set to be closed over a six-week period as bridge maintenance works get under way.
Herefordshire Council said the programme would start after August 4, and would see four stretches of road across the country closed to traffic.
It said as part of contractor Balfour Beatty Living Places’ works, the C1206 from Vowchurch to Slough Breast Wood Track would be shut for seven days as the bridge was inspected.
The C1213 from Shepherds Hill to Great Walk Mill Farm in Dulas would also be closed for a week.
In Abbeydore, the C1224 from Blackbush to Oakdene Court would be closed for nine days.
The decision notice showed the longest closure would be in Marden as the C1122 from the C1120 to Wellington Crossing closes for 19 days.
It added: “The said closures are required due to bridge maintenance works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place.”
