A DRIVER has been banned from the roads for four years after he was caught drug-driving in a busy Hereford road.
Christopher Dean Jones entered a guilty plea when he appeared before magistrates in Kidderminster.
The court heard Jones had been caught behind the wheel of a Volkswagen Passat at The Oval in Hereford while over the drug limit on October 28.
An evidential blood test revealed the 36-year-old had 161 microgrammes of cocaine metabolite benzoylecgonine and 2.3 microgrammes of cannabis metabolite delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol per litre of blood. The legal limits are 50 and two.
He was also carrying a quantity of cannabis and did not have insurance to drive the car.
Jones, of Cusop Close, Newton Farm, was handed a 12-week community order and curfew with electronic tag and disqualified from driving for four years.
He must also pay costs of £135 and a £95 victim surcharge.
