WHAT an inspirational Open Event NMITE held in the Shell Store on August 2.
It set the scene for the major impact the university will have on Herefordshire.
It is a radical approach to education and gives total commitment to place and partnership to face the challenges ahead.
The presentations, particularly by interns from Edinburgh
Napier University, demonstrated the value of this collaborative approach.
I was delighted at the effect on all present and the time allowed for the meaningful conversations it promoted.
There was positivity and involvement.
It gave me hope for a fresh look at problems created by previous planning decisions.
I am cheered that our heritage is valued as a rich tapestry
to inform the future. With collective responsibility to get
the best possible options for regeneration we can correct
mistakes and build for present well-being and the future of the planet.
I look forward to the new students arriving in September.
I trust this principled leadership will widen its spread of open minded enthusiasm and we can all engage in this brighter future.
