A CONVENIENCE shop in a Herefordshire town has shut as it's turned into a Morrisons Daily.

The chain, in partnership with Morrisons, said the McColl's shop in Hatton Park, Bromyard, would be closed for a week prior to its reopening on Thursday, August 26.

Workers at the shop confirmed on Tuesday that it would shut at 10pm that day, before reopening with a new look more than a week later.

Known locally as Top Shop, the range of products would be extended as part of the rebrand.

When asked about the change to Morrisons Daily, McColl's, which has around 1,550 shops nationally, said: "Bromyard opens on Thursday, August 26.

"The store will be closed for the week prior, during which a rebranding will take place.

"On opening we will offer a more extensive range of Fresh Food and Grocery, along with an improved food to go offer."

A subway outlet opened inside the Hatton Park for a short time but since closed.
