HEREFORD have signed former Bradford City and Walsall midfielder Zeli Ismail ahead of today’s game with Bradford (Park Avenue).
The 27-year-old winger played for Bradford City last season and previously featured for Walsall after starting his career at Wolverhampton Wanderers playing in the Championship.

“He was brought to my attention, the way we recruit is based on statistical data and his is right up there,” said Hereford manager Josh Gowling.
“He’s been in with us today (Thursday) training and signed on for us. We are going to continue looking at him.
“He’s one of those players that is direct, quick and I definitely think he’s got goals in his locker and he brings experience to us especially in the top and wide areas.
“I’m really pleased that he’s decided to come in with us.
“He had really high prospects when he was at Wolverhampton as a young lad they expected big things from him but for whatever reason he’s found himself at Walsall and Bradford last year,
“He’s had a few niggles and injuries so he’s getting himself back on track. I like to think we’re a football club that and as a manager and my staff, we get people back on the right track.
“If it means we need to get a few lads in who have lost their way a little bit and we can give them confidence and re-build them then that’s what we want to do.
“He knows a couple of the lads and he’s got an unbelievable pedigree. Hopefully we keep hold of him and he makes us go from strength to strength.
“Training in the Midlands, he’s from Wolverhampton, so it’s helped massively and it’s one of the reasons why when I took over we moved the training base because it enabled us to get players cheaper.
“If you look at the lads in the EFL they want to train in the mornings so it’s been good for us to recruit a better pool of players.
