A DRIVER failed to stop at a level crossing as a train approached despite warning lights flashing in a Herefordshire town.
Kenneth Jones pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention when he appeared before magistrates in Worcester.
The court heard the 65-year-old had failed to stop at the Mill Street level crossing in Leominster as a train approached on April 24, driving his Volkswagen Transporter across the crossing while the red light was flashing and the barrier was descending.
Jones, of Walton, Presteigne, was fined £80 and handed five penalty points. He must also pay costs of £135 and a £34 victim surcharge.
