A HEREFORDSHIRE girl has been selected to take part in the final of a national modelling competition, up against finalists from across the UK.
Francesca Burge, 13, of Ledbury, is currently Junior Miss Herefordshire 2020/21.
At the national final of the Junior Miss British Isles 2020/21 Model competition, Francesca will be up against finalists from across the British Isles including Ireland, Scotland, Wales, and England.

The judges look through the large number of entries that the competition attracts every year.
Then 40 finalists are offered the chance to take part in the national final where they will represent their home area.
Francesca, also known as Frankie, was contacted via her profile on StarNow – an agency website for models, dancers etc.
Her mother, Nikki Sweet, supports her daughter’s endeavours. “She’s so sensible, she’s level-headed and outgoing, she gives 100% to everything she does.
“I’m not girly girl at all, she gives me makeup tips,” said Miss Sweet.
The finalists in Francesca’s category do not wear heels or makeup.
“They make it fun it’s a good experience,” said Miss Sweet.
Francesca’s hobbies include ballet, street dance, contemporary and break dance, acro-dancing.
”She has always loved dancing and is very confident,” said Miss Sweet.
Francesca will be taking part in a catwalk show at the final which is in front of the judges and audience with the winner announced on the day.
Previous winners of Miss British Isles organised events have gone on to be signed by top modelling agencies, taken part in major TV shows, and even appeared in a Bollywood film.
If successful, Francesca could win a £1000 cash prize, the Junior Miss British Isles crown, the studded winner’s sash, a portfolio consisting of four fabulous shoots throughout the year and more.
The national final takes place on Saturday 4th September at The Final Furlong Marquee at Chester Racecourse alongside other Miss and Mr British Isles competitions.
Francesca and her mother are travelling up to Chester tomorrow to prep before the day of the competition.
