VOLUNTEERS are needed in one Herefordshire town as a local groups wants to spruce the streets up ready for a festival.

Kington Chamber of Trade said it was looking for volunteers to help with a community litter pick.

It said volunteers were needed for 11.30am on Sunday, September 12 to litter pick ready for when visitors arrive at the town's Walking Festival the following weekend.

Kington Chamber of Trade chairman Emma Hancocks said: "We will be meeting at the Place De Marines for 11.30am and will be out for a couple of hours.

"Please bring along any implements you want to use – bags for collection will be provided.

"Volunteers will be welcome to join us as we spruce the town up again after the successful last litter pick that we had”
