A MAN has been ordered to undergo mental health treatment after attacking police officers in Hereford.

Joshua Harrison appeared before magistrates in Hereford for sentencing on August 25 after previously pleading guilty to four charges.

The court heard the 29-year-old had assaulted two police officers acting in the course of their duties and two others by beating in Hereford on December 20.

Harrison, of Emperor Way, Hereford, was handed a 12-month community order and a one-month curfew with electronic tag.

He was also ordered to undergo a 12-month mental health treatment programme, and must pay £50 to each of the officers assaulted by beating, costs of £195, and an £85 victim surcharge.
