MORE than 1,000 homes have been left without power in Herefordshire this morning, with engineers working to restore supply.
Western Power Distribution said a power cut was affecting 711 properties in the HR1 and HR8 areas of Herefordshire.
The power cut was reported at 10.06am, with Western Power saying minutes later that there was a fault on the high voltage network in the areas which it was working hard to resolve.
It said 1,000 properties have already had power restored, with 197 still without supply.
Western Power said the problem was due to be fixed by 11.30am.
An online map of power cuts in the area showed the problem centred around Monkhide, Lower Eggleton and Stretton Grandison east of Hereford.
