TRESPASSING children have been reported at a deserted Hereford golf course.
Police said they have been receiving an increasing number of reports of children at the old Belmont Golf Course, which, along with the 30-bed Belmont Lodge Hotel closed down in 2014, along with criminal damage to the location also being found when officers attend.
A police spokesperson said: "This is private property and therefore no children should be at the location. If found on site police will take action against offenders including any criminal damage found which could result in a criminal record.
"There is also a safety risk as the building is not in use with various hazards present due to its age and state of disrepair."
South Wye SNT ask that parents know where their children are when not home and if aware their child has attended this location for the message to be passed on accordingly.
