CASES of wine worth tens of thousands of pounds are set to be sold in Herefordshire next week.
Brightwells’ Autumn Sale 'Paradise for Wine Collectors' will offer exceptional private collections of wine, port, champagne, and whisky.
The items will come under the hammer on September 29-30.
It will be Brightwell’s biggest ever wine sale with over 1100 lots of fine wine, vintage port, champagne and rare malt whisky on offer.
Bidding will open on Saturday September 25 with registration available through the website from 10am.
The first half of the sale will close from 12 noon to 5pm on Wednesday September 29 and the second half will run to the same timings on Thursday September 30.
Highlights from the catalogue include two cases of 12 Petrus from the legendary 1982 vintage worth £35,000-40,000.
It known for its mythical name and as a wine that every wine lover should have drunk at least once in their life. Singer Beyonce announced it is her favourite and it was served at Queen Elizabeth's wedding in 1947.
Two bottles of Henri Jayer Nuits St Georges are also for sale worth £3,000-5,000.
Henri Jayer was a producer of red burgundy known for making some of the most critically acclaimed and expensive Pinot Noir in the world.
A Macallan 1964 worth £3,000-4000 is also available.
The first whisky Macallan ever produced came out of a woodshed and just two pot stills and founded by barely farmer and schoolteacher Alexander Reid in 1824.
For buyers in search of fine wines for consumption over the autumn and winter months, there are over 400 lots of fine wine priced under £200 per dozen.
