THREE high schools, including one of the country's most successful, could close or amalgamate under draft plans for the future of education in the county.
According to the council's draft plan, Kingstone High and Fairfield, which last year saw its students gain some of the best GCSE results in England, would amalgamate, possibly on a new site, to form a single secondary school for the Golden Valley.
Bromyard Queen Elizabeth Humanities College would close and be incorporated into the Minster College in Leominster.
A host of primary schools across the county also face closure and or amalgamation.
