- SOME petrol stations in Herefordshire remain closed today (Monday) as the UK grapples with a fuel shortage.
- Thousands of petrol stations across the country, including in Hereford, have run dry amid “frenzied” panic buying as ministers were warned their plan for solving the HGV driver shortage would not prevent bare shop shelves this Christmas.
- The Petrol Retailers Association, which represents almost 5,500 independent outlets, said around two-thirds of its members were reporting that they had sold out of fuel, with the rest of them “partly dry and running out soon”.
