Further to the report by Gavin McEwan, Hereford Times (October 7), regarding the proposed development, Flow House in Ullingswick, it is a very sad reflection of the mindset of our current councillors to reject this exciting application.
This proposed development embraces new technology and biodiversity while blending into our beautiful countryside, and would present a beautiful and functional home.
The proposal is applauded by a panel of experts, and the planning committee vice-chairman councillor Alan Seldon, but our backward- thinking councillors dismiss it as too futuristic.
I feel that Herefordshire Council would like to take us back to the Dark Ages, living in caves and hunting woolly mammoths.
They don’t appear to have a problem building thousands of unimaginative little boxes, but along with that they neglect to build the infrastructure to support this growth, such as the desperately needed bypass.
So come on, Herefordshire Council, join the rest of us in the 21st century.
