A MAIN road near Hereford will remain closed for at least another two days after a fuel spill, Herefordshire Council has said.
West Mercia Police warned that the A480 was clsoed between Hereford and Lyonshall on Monday morning after a fuel spill.
Herefordshire Council later said the road between the Stretton Sugwas roundabout and the Sarnesfield crossroads due to the spillage and "multiple" crashes.

And on Tuesday it warned that the large spill, along a five-mile stretch, would keep the road closed for at least another two days as the clean up operation continued.
A Herefordshire Council spokesperson said:“An extensive clean-operation remains on-going and assessments of the carriageway are also being undertaken due to the damage caused to the road surface.

"It is anticipated that the closure will remain in place for at least another two days for safety reasons while our teams are on site."
On Monday, council contractor Balfour Beatty Living Places said it was "vital" that drivers did not ignore the closure.
