WORK to repair a bridge near Hereford which was hit by a vehicle will start later this month, Herefordshire Council has said.
Laystone Bridge in Marden was closed on October 8 after a bridge strike, with a scheme to repair the damage set to start on November 19, the council said.
The country road, called Orchard Green, between the village and the A49 has been closed since the crash – with repair work expected to take one month.
Days after the initial closure, Herefordshire Council and Balfour Beatty Living Places had to issue a warning to both drivers and walkers to not ignore fencing as the bridge was structurally unsafe.
