TWO steam engines will be passing through Herefordshire this weekend.
Steam enthusiasts will be able to see the Cheshireman and the Welsh Marches Express pass through the county on Saturday, November 13.
The Cheshireman, pulled by 60163 Tornado will be heading north through the county on Saturday morning after starting its journey from Bristol Temple Meads to Chester.
The train was built in 2008 and was the first newly-built locomotive in the UK since 1960.
It will pass Tram Inn, near Allensmore, at 9.15am before stopping in Hereford at 9.23am to refill with water. It will stay at the station until 10.35am.
As it makes its way through North Herefordshire, it will pass through Shelwick Junction at 10.38am, Moreton-on-Lugg at 10:44am, Leominster at 10.53am, Wooferton at 11am, Bromfield at 11.07am, Craven Arms at 11:13am and Marsh Brook Level Crossing at 11.19am.
"There is some truly beautiful scenery as we travel through Herefordshire and into Shropshire," The Railway Touring Company website said.
The train will pass through Herefordshire again on its way back during the evening and will pass through Hereford at 8.04pm
The Welsh Marches Express, pulled by the 6233 Duchess of Sutherland, starts its journey from Tyseley Locomotive Works in Birmingham, picking up passengers at Birmingham New Street and Wolverhampton, before joining the Marches line at Shrewsbury.
The 6233 was built in Crewe in 1938 by London, Midland and Scottish Railway as a top link express passenger locomotive. It was designed to haul the Scottish expresses, such as the famous Royal Scot, from London to Glasgow.
As it makes its way though Shropshire, it will pass through Marsh Brook Level Crossing at 10.21am, Craven Arms at 10.26am, Bromfield at 10.31am and Wooferton at 10.38am.
The express will then pass through Leominster at 10.45am, Moreton-on-Lugg at 10.54am and Shelwick Junction at 10.58am.
It will arrive in Hereford at 11.02am and will remain at the station for three hours while passengers enjoy a sightseeing break in the city.
After leaving Hereford, the express will pass by Tram Inn at 3.10pm on its way to Newport.
