A HEREFORDSHIRE LORRY driver has been fined after he was spotted veering into the hard shoulder and back into his lane on a motorway.
Richard George entered a guilty plea to magistrates in Medway, Kent.
The court heard the 63-year-old had been in a position where he could not have proper control of the Volvo artic lorry he was driving on the M20 at Wrotham, Kent, on June 10.
Magistrates heard George had been seen veering onto the hard shoulder and back into his lane at least twice and was noted to be looking down instead of out of the windscreen, with only one hand on the steering wheel.
George, of Robinsons Meadow, Ledbury, was fined £66 and ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge. No order for costs was made.
