THERE are fears about rats after rubbish was spotted piled at the back of garage in a Herefordshire town.
Jamie Cochrane shared this photo of rubbish behind the Esso garage in Ross-on-Wye spur services off the M50 on the Facebook group Ross Noticeboard, and he suggested it could lead to a problem with vermin.
He spotted the rubbish on Wednesday, November 10.
He said: "This is absolutely disgusting when there are rats roaming around in the day at Ross services."
Residents shared their concerns in comments on Facebook, claiming it would lead to more rats near the services and public health issues.
Gay Dawson said it had been on top of an over-filled skip which had been there too long.
"Apparently, it is all cleared up now, but I have been there at night, and it is absolutely surrounded by rats by the bins," said Mr Cochrane.
The petrol station's owners, Euro Garages, have not responded to our request for comment.
