A HEREFORDSHIRE town's leisure centre will reopen for the first time in several months after damage caused by vandalism and flooding.
Halo Leisure centre in Bromyard shut in March 2020, first due to the coronavirus pandemic, but was then unable to reopen due to a leaking roof.
Halo has previously said this was due to vandalism, and water getting into the building had caused damage.
It then reopened briefly in July before its leaking roof caused it to shut again.
With the extensive repair work now coming to an end, staff at the centre are looking forward to welcoming existing and new members back.
The centre is owned by Herefordshire Council and managed by Social Enterprise and Registered Charity Halo Leisure.
Alex Haines, Halo's partnership manager said: "The building has been given a clean bill of health, now it is time for Halo to look after yours."
The gym and group exercise classes will be available from Friday, November 19, followed by Library services on Monday, November 22.
As a thank you to the people of Bromyard for being so patient whilst it was closed, the centre is offering free membership at the Bromyard Centre for the rest of 2021 to existing members and new members.
