TWO steam trains that passed through Herefordshire this weekend have been photographed by Hereford Times Camera Club members.
The Cheshireman, pulled by 60163 Tornado, passed northwards through the county northwards on Saturday morning, on its journey from Bristol Temple Meads to Chester.
Tornado was built in 2008 and was the first newly-built locomotive in the UK since 1960.
The Welsh Marches Express, pulled by the 6233 Duchess of Sutherland came southwards through Herefordshire on its journey along the Marches railway line.
The Duchess of Sutherland was built in Crewe in 1938 by London, Midland and Scottish Railway as a top link express passenger locomotive. It was designed to haul the Scottish expresses, such as the famous Royal Scot, from London to Glasgow.
Both of the trains stopped for extended periods of time at Hereford Station.
They could also be seen as they went through Leominster, Shelwick Junnction, Moreton-on-Lugg and Tram Inn, near Allensmore.
