ROADS will be closed in a Herefordshire town this weekend as their Christmas lights switch on takes place.
Bromyard’s Christmas Lights Association is set to have its Christmas lights switch on this Saturday (November 20).
Covering the entire central area of the town, the display is a mass of multi-coloured animated displays.
From 5.15pm there will be carols in the square following the arrival of a lantern parade.
Townsfolk will carry decorated lanterns from the Conquest Theatre to the Hop Pole Square to the beat of drums and lantern kits are available from the main Co-op store.
Participants should gather at the theatre from 4pm for a 5pm departure.
Meanwhile, Santa will be in his grotto at the Falcon Mews from 11am-5pm. Timed slots at £5 per child can be booked via the theatre.
Market Square and Twyning Street will be closed between 8am and 7pm.
Broad Street, High Street, and Pump Street between Little Hereford and High Street will be closed on Saturday from 12pm until 7pm.
