THIS is the first look inside the luxury flats are being built inside Worcester's former fire station.

The luxury development feature one, two and three-bedroom apartments in the historic building on Copenhagen Street.

Hereford Times:

The building, which has been left empty since the fire brigade moved in 2015, was built between 1939 and 1941 by Percy Thomas.

Thomas also designed the former police station opposite the fire station.

Its former life as a fire station means that the premier apartments have 2ft walls which are apparently bomb proof.

Hereford Times:

The Old Fire Station still has the character features such as high ceilings, tall windows, chimneys, and a solid construction.

There is a private roof garden for residents with panoramic views of the city as well as ten foot ceilings and seven foot high windows on the first floor.

Hereford Times:

Residents can enjoy even more views from the old viewing tower.

Prices for the two-bedroom flats start at £250,000 and go up to £340,000.

For sale are a total of 28 apartments with 25 in the main building and three in the annexe.

The property is being marketed by ChocolateBox Homes.
