CHRISTMAS is approaching and the time to get a tree will soon be here, if not already for some, and Herefordshire has many places to buy one.

Here's a list of 10 places selling Christmas trees in Herefordshire this year:

Hereford Christmas Trees

At Hereford Christmas Trees, in Grafton Lane, Hereford, you can choose from five varieties of trees including Norway, Serbian and blue spruce and Nordmann and Fraser fir.

Since taking over the site in November 2018, the new owners have replanted more than 2,000 new trees and pruned and treated the 10,000 they took on.

Fresh trees are cut every morning before they open at 10am until 6pm, with the site open from now until Christmas Eve.

Dinmore Christmas Trees

Dinmore Hill Christmas Trees, in Wellington, won the best Nordmann fir category at the Christmas tree grower of the year awards.

The business has been growing Christmas trees in Herefordshire for 25 plus years.

Most of the year is spent working out in the plantations making sure the Christmas trees are in the very best shape for customers.

They opened for the season on November 6 and will be open every weekend from 9am to 4pm.

Goulding's Christmas Trees

Goulding's Christmas Trees, in Newent, are a family run business which was started in 1989 and they have been growing and selling Christmas Trees since.

They will open from Friday, November 26 offering Nordmann fir and traditional Norway spruce trees.

On the weekends they will have free mince pies and for NHS workers they are offering 10 percent off.

They will also be selling potted trees of up to five-foot, Christmas tree stands, potatoes, wreaths and much more.

Cash or card will be accepted, and delivery is available.

Coddington Christmas Trees

Ledbury's favourite Christmas Tree Farm is offering quality Christmas Trees at low farm prices.

You can choose your tree while it's in the ground, or from recently cut stock and take it home, of have it delivered for a small charge.

Alternatively, order your tree by phone or email and collect or have it delivered.

Open Monday to Sunday between 9am and 4pm.

Ross Garden Store

At Ross Garden centre, in Ross-on-Wye, you can pick from a selection of trees and have them cut and delivered within two working days.

You can have them cut from sustainable managed tree plantations and top-quality stock or visit the store and choose your own.

You will also find a Christmas shop offering an array of decorations.

Open Monday to Saturday between 9am and 5pm, and Sunday 9am to 4.30pm.

Leigh Sinton Christmas Trees

Visit one of two retail outlets at Leigh Sinton Farm or Grove Farm to find the perfect tree as of today (November 19).

A variety of spruce and fir trees are on offer with helpful staff on hand help who will then net it and help load it into your vehicle.

Open Sunday to Wednesday 9am to 5pm and Thursday to Saturday 9am to 7pm.

Madley Plants

Madley Plants, in Madley, have a selection of non-drop, Nordmann fir trees in four different sizes to choose from with a variety of homemade festive wreaths available too.

If you need a stand, they've got a selection of those, too, in different sizes and colours and if you have the space for another tree, you'll get £5 off the second one.

Open Monday to Sunday between 10am to 4pm.

Radway Bridge Garden Centre

Discover one of the county's widest selections of Hereford Christmas trees, with several varieties of real Hereford Christmas Trees, including Norway spruces, Nordmann firs, Fraser firs and noble firs.

There are also less conventional options such as the white spruces, the white pines, the blue spruces, and the lodgepole pines.

For those who prefer to avoid the hassle of needle drop, Radway Bridge has a selection of artificial Christmas trees, including pre decorated and pre lit trees, as well as tinsel trees.

To decorate your tree, they also offer a vast selection of Christmas lights, including LED lights, mini lights and outdoor lights, and Christmas decorations.

The Happy Xmas Trees, in Fownhope, are a family run business with a wide selection of trees to choose from this Christmas.

You can browse at the Shop at Coo Corner in Fownhope from November 27.

Alternatively, they can choose one for you and deliver it straight to your door.
